Alternative advancement system after you retire

I have an idea for an alternative advancement system after you retire.

It would be for your “presence on the Battle field” Aura/Regalness for lack of a better word. After you retire you get the option to upgrade your gear which will affect how you look on the battle field. I suggest that it gives you a small increase in xp gain ( and also people around you) but is offset my higher upkeep cost.

The options to upgrade your gear are cosmetic and don’t alter the stats.

Options include the following
•   Gold guiding (I would not allow first gens to buy gold gilded gear).
•   Blackening or Blueing of armour.
•   Black and white harness.
•   Garniture pieces ie reinforcing plates for pauldrons (shoulders) , albow pieces, pauldermittens , tilt buff’s for helms etc.
•   Mantels and crests for helmets.
•   Extra fluting for plate armours.
•   Weapons could have gilded handles in inscriptions on them.
•   Horse gear
o   Engraved Saddles
o   Exotic fur saddle cloths
o   Gold spurs
o   Heraldic caparisons
You could add many different ways of cosmetically changing your character so that you can be an individual.

Any way just an idea

There is a guy that made a thread where he shows some new models for heirloom, each level of heirloom have a different models, mw have gold in it.

That could be a good idea, but it will be hard to implement, for example armor needs a model for each customization.

I know you would need alot of new models but you could get by with a lot of skin changes which are easier to do.

There is so much scope for this game to get really good

Wow. Very impressive. I like.

Please don't change the Corazzina too much or I'd have to change my outfit :( I got it cos it matched.

As for the OP, I like the idea, but I don't really care for my teammates' experience gain. If they win, good on them, if not, that's tough.

I'm more concerned about my clan members, but for the most part, we don't need exp. So the upkeep bump would only be detrimental.

If there was an option whether or not to have the exp bump (trade-off with exp), then I'm for it. Otherwise, I'd rather not.
