Fighting for the Kingdom of England

Hi guys, with Strat on the go at the moment, lots of people are participating in Strategus as mercenaries. If you don't know how to sign up for one, you will need to go to the character page of your main, and look at the upcoming battles tab. Find the battle in the list and apply for it. You must write your level, build and maximum skill requirement of your main weapon.
If you are not in a clan that is higher than neutral with us in diplomacy, you are qualified to be paid. We do not mean to be cheap, but at the moment we won't be able to pay huge sums out to "elite" mercenaries so price your application well, if at all.
Our allies should know that we do not pay them in gold but with our mutual mercenary aid in any battles you need us for that we are able to make.
Approaching the battle, I will be in TS at  62.104.20.250:10027, and most likely be in command. IT IS VITAL that you FOLLOW ORDERS, and if you are seen to go a.w.o.l. or disobey orders, you forfeit your pay, and possibly any future opportunities to fight alongside us.

And if you are interested in joining us as a proper member, don't hesitate to ask. We are not skill-elitists. We only ask you are polite and can cooperate and be active.

It seems to be bugged, hired mercs are not paid anyway.

They can still pay people by meeting up in the strat battle. Then they could pay after how well the fighters did too.
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

Risky but with payoff, Hospitaller. I am also wondering who might turn up against us. And how many, however they will be pretty badly equipped anyhow. I think it is worth the risk but I have contingencies.

Eh... barely skirting that 1/3rd rule are we? heh. Good luck.
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

Cheers. You know, if I were given enough reason, I might pur-chase a bow or two  :P ... anyhow, that rule is to stop people from delaying infinitely larger moving parties, Uslum is definitely not going anywhere. It was a calculated risk.
