throwing weapon repair

Hello, I'm here to talk about the ridiculous repair rate of throwing weapons. My level 30, level skip character has to repair his jarids EVERY ROUND, I make NO gold at all since every round is -500 gold for repairs... Either that, or I play with worn jarids... Please, reduce the rate at which they degrade, its really ridiculous. Especially since Jarids are only a 7k item... Why do they degrade so fast, yet when many people get sliced up in armor, the armor does not degrade at all? Doesn't really make sense...

It's a similar story for arrows. I think it is supposed to represent you having to buy more ammunition since you used your last, but it is really rediculous.

Yeah, that doesn't make sense at all. If that were true, plate wearers would have to pay for the repairs EVERY time they got hit/killed. Really? A hammer crushed in your helmet, but you don't have to repair it? Hmm..

Maybe reduce the price of repairs on ranged weapons, but increase the break rate?

So it simulates the purchasing of disposable weapons.

throwing weapons are 2ndary weapons and shouldnt cost so much.  Really 7k for 3 wooden sticks with metal tips?  That'd be cheaper then just about any 1h weapon and any sword

then imagine us archers using bodkins and paying over 200 gold each round for 15 arrows...it's retarded.

i think the price of thrown weapons is fine, i use them all the time w/o a problem, maybe try using cheaper ones, javelins are very nice.
as for arrow repair costs im happy that they cost so much to use, considering they're such a pain in the ass to people you use them on :P

Using throwing spears I lose money even when my team is winning. They break all the time and the upkeep is ridiculous. I am wearing super cheap light armor and still losing money. If I downgrade weapons to try and stop losing money I can't kill people in plate.
I'll throw even when the weapons are gone. I can always throw punches and throw up.

Corrected.
Upkeep on arrows and throwing weps is pretty daft. They should just reduce the cost by around 20% or so, then it would actually be affordable.

you're probably dead so often that theres alot less chance you have to repair them.

although that did just raise a question....if you throw a throwing weapon...is it still considered in your inventory for the purposes of repairs.
Ie...if I drop the melee weapon I spawn with, that stops the clock of 4% chance per minute that I'll have to repair
