Steam update announcement suggestion.

Can we get a post in the "announcements" section about the steam patch and possible work-arounds, and possible plans to address this patch?

This will be very frustrating for players, especially new ones.  It took me a while to figure out what was going on myself.  An announcement explaining what happened will help orient people.

But it just happened, and I'm sure there are a lot of lost souls out there still.

Why leave them in darkness?  This is a major gum-up, affecting like 50% of the player base, if not more.

Even if it never happens again, why wouldn't it be a good idea to let people know what happened now?

Just send Shik a private message if a new player is confused.

yeah...

well the first place ppl look when there is a problem with the game (especially version related) is announcements.  It just makes sense to put something there, something official.

It took me a while to figure out what was going on, and I had to go off of general forum threads, which is hear-say for all we know, until you find another thread mentioning the issue and confirming it, or 2 or 3 people complaining of the same issue, before we know its true.

It's not reliable, you know?  Just a suggestion!  Makes perfect sense to me.

That does make sense. They did make an announcement on the irc headline at the very top, and perhaps they will make an announcement in the actual announcement forum.
