Yeah sure why not? I'd like to know the damage I deal per strike as well and I'm sure the archers would enjoy it. :P

It'd be really helpful for checking weapon hold time to maximize damage.

It would be great if those dummies also reported damage as you hit them and if different dummies had different armour levels.  In this way you could see how different angles effect damage and the amount of damage differently armoured opponents would get from various weapons. 

Shooting targets for archers would be nice too, but not necessary as they could just shoot at the dummies.  I can just see Lorne comments on shooting dummies :D

+1. Some may say they are useless, but people have other practices that may help them. This would be a great way to try out a weapon in ways you would never have in a fight. IE testing range and how fast it actually is and the damage core numbers.

Yes! I want dummies in the Duel server!  :D

Make sure there is enough so that you won't have to wait for them to respawn from other people killing them.

But not so many that they get in the way.

It probably wouldn't take much effort to create a training grounds map that included dummies and targets.

Ok some thread necromancy here but I want to get a map developers resposne on this. Its all good and fine if the common players agree with it but I havent the slightest idea how ot make such a map so. Any ATS map makers want to put in their 2 cents?

I don't think making a map for it is a problem. The hard part is implementing the dummy system into the map, with dmg reporting, etc.
For all I care, it could be a random medium plain map with just the dummy system on that.
Also, you want this on the Duel server so it doesn't interrupt the other servers' regular gameplay.
