Regarding TK'ing

This is in relation to an incident last night regarding some guys from the wonderous clan known as Swag.

Anyway, as we all know the NA Seige server is being a bit weird recently, due to magical lag pixies or whatever made-up excuse is being used at the moment, which makes things a bit tricky when fighting. Even worse, being a Brit, my ping is always a little higher (but not bad).

So, let me just make a suggestion that people try not to get too bent up over getting TK'd by accident. Yesterday I killed this Swag_OddFellow person who then proceeded to spend the entire game:

- Crying over team chat, acting like I'd just kicked his puppy in the face.
- Accusing me of leeching, even though I was near the top of the leaderboard.
- Teamwounding me constantly (Although with 12IF it took a few whacks to make a dent)
- Accusing me of teamwounding, apparently with the power of my mind alone.
- Deliberatly getting in front of my strikes to get one-shotted.

Of course I dealt with it in the grown up fashion of owning him verbally with a light flaming then ignoring his little comments, taking great joy in murdering him when on the opposing team and staying above him on the scoreboard for a fair amount of time. Weird thing is I only TK'd him once, and apologised. I don't count the second time, that was his own silly fault for jumping in front of me while I was about to introduce a peasant to God.

Now, how did all this happen? Whenever I TK (and with this lag I'll be honest its happened a fair bit) I make sure to say sorry, even going so far as to wait for my respawn timer to tick over so I can make sure everyone see's me say it. I know its annoying being bitch-slapped by a teammate, but it does happen.

Of course you could argue that its a lack of skill on my part, and it probably is. I have high PS and a big fuck-off Axe, and while I try to do my best to avoid swinging it, sometimes someone will get in the way and get chopped into itty bitty bits. It just happens, and when its a huge clusterfuck battle, with very weird elastic-band lag, its going to be a common occurance.

So all that I ask, is at least while a server lags or its clear performance is odd, be a bit more considerate and remember just because you didn't see 'Sorry for the TK' because it got wiped off the screen with combat indicators, doesn't mean it didn't get said. Hammering at the keyboard with your sausage fingers and pressing that glorious caps-lock key will resolve nothing except give people like me something to laugh at, and then we can all enjoy a bit of naming and shaming.

Although if someone is doing it on purpose, feel free to kick them in the tits.

Why is this posted in general?
Why dont servers have their own forums with ban/unban, map rotation, etc subforums?

I havent had any problems with this swag guy myself, but hes definitely been on my asshat radar for awhile

I think this is posted in general because it is talking about c-RPG in general, not about a specific person and a requested ban of which would belong in the ban/unban forums.

Anywho...
+1 to the original poster for the amusing read.

I personally don't get bent if the person does not apologize for tking me if it was an obvious accident, as sometimes in the heat of battle you can miss killing a friendly if you are concentrated on defending against the goons in front of you and miss the fact that with your overhead you kill a teammate behind you or other such things. Accidents happen, especially if I wander in front of an unbalanced weapon. I also would prefer people only apologizing for TKing me if they are in a quiet part of the battle, as I do not appreciate people stopping to apologize for tking me if they are 3 meters from a battle, of which they waste time typing instead of helping teammates. One can always apologize at the start of the next round when there is no pressure.
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.

I would say if the admin team on NA was a lil rougher, the griefer numbers would decrease. I recently met a guy who was on TK spree, i even opened forum request to get him banned (he was tking some guy, i watched, when he finished, he just moved to me and killed me aswell, repeatedly for several times and several guys).

The admins let him go with apology, so, there you go with getting rid of griefers.

Seems like only revenge-TK'ers get punished while the original offender gets off scot-free, in my experience.

The + button isn't cooling down fast enough to keep up with your comments. Every time I pressed it, all I got was an error page telling me that this feature cannot be used for another 48 hours...

Hehehe, thank you kindly, happy to see you agree with the tk statement of mine.
