Well ever since 1.128(or 1.131) a kick slash is preformed by kicking then slashing. Any other attempt of doing it results in you failing.

Not true Lorn, you're a liar.  You can also slash then kick before the slash finishes and hit them with a kick while they try to block your swing, then slash again and hit them while their guard is broken.

Yeah but you can aim the kick only stright forward, making really hard to use it properly unless on ladders or choke points.

I still use the kick a lot. Sometimes it works wonders, other times I miss, and, yea....
