You get 1 skill and 1 attribute point each level. The highest level is presumably unlimited, but it takes a VERY long time to level up past level 30 (every new level takes as much time as all the levels before together, so level 30-31 is like level 1-30, 31-32 is like 1-31, which means 2x 1-30, etc.). The highest level someone currently has is believed to be 34.

Kesh is 35, and it does not appear to stop there.

The shortest way to epic leveling is still retiring 16 times to get the maximal xp bonus though.

Actually, it's not, unless you're going for levels much higher than 35.

Leveling straight to level 35 takes 181m XP. Retiring 15 times and then leveling to 35 takes 232m XP (adjusted for bonus).


EDIT: Just checked, and it starts paying off when you hit level 36. So if 36+ is your goal, retirement is faster. You would have to be one insane poopsocker to hit that though. We're talking 3300 hours at 2x average multiplier... That's almost a full year of playing 12 hours per day.
