This should not fall into oblivion - it really is a great show, even gettin better as it goes. Of course it may not please those that know nothing about the original Karate Kid. Was looking forward to the 2nd series much more that to the GoT and unlike GoT it really delivered.

They really did very well with the show. They acknowledged Karate Kid's cheesiness and owned it, turning Cobra Kai into what is basically a parody of it, but without being too in-your-face about it.

I binge watched all episodes of season 2 in one sitting. It is that good.

What I like about the show it both does remember the old Karate Kid (weak can get strong) but it doesn't go over the very limit and can make a good fun out of it. Like accepting that tiny weak nerd kid into the Cobra Kai seems quite off and even stranger seems sending him to the all valley tournament against a kid double his size. But when you're just about to cringe like wuuuut? He gets insta spin kicked hard in the face and the show gets back on track. I really laughed out hard a few times.
