Draw the chainmail again by hand instead of coloring it in with texture before you come to bitch about time used on a drawing to me

yeh I don´t like the chainmail either, but I didn´t want to draw each single chain. This isn´t a texture, but a failed try to get a chainmail-look with simple strokes and the bevel-effect
it did not work.
I´ll try something different next time I have to draw chainmail again
