Why actually some of them (e.g. great axe, persian battle axe) have been changed from 2h to 1h and they are more like katana or other half/swords rather than standard 2h ?

This happend some time ago and I can't find now any related topic for this change.

The goal of Strategus battles shouldnt be to deprive your enemies of players, but to have full roster both sides and have the gear/tactics/strategy win the day rather than lack of merc support.

Reason is to make it better for 2h cav
1/2h weapons do not revise dmg penalties.
