Woops! LOL fail on me.

Thought it was Guardians of Orion which has a 90% off right now. So many Orions on steam, kinda easy to mistake one by another.

This reminds me there's a great/bad but still great spin off of civ 1/master of orion called Master of Magic. I always wanted it in a modern form, but it never seems to show up..

It had is all, generated world with 2 planes, tons of units and schools of magic, tactical battles. It's amazing.

Yup, Master of Magic was amazing and way ahead of its time.

I'd say AoW: Shadow Magic filled the gap after MoM nicely. Sadly that too is old game now and AoW 3 wasn't as good.

Haven't seen much of this new MoO yet but I sure hope they won't ruin the original concept too much.

Age of Wonders 3 came close to MoM but fell short. Still a good game though.

Ive been looking forward to Master of Orion for awhile now. I used to play the original constantly when I was younger.

MoO 1 was one of my favourite games, also the first game I did not pirate :)

I know there was something like Free Orion if I remember correctly? It should be 1:1 remake by some indie developer. Does anyone know anything about it.

Right now the game is very, very easy and there is only one difficulty level. Makes me think about how easy MoO 2 was.
