This one seems really promising according to the few gameplay videos. It still looks like old good AoW, but with some goodies from Civilization series and overall more dynamic world. They also promised a good modding support.  :)

By the way, how many did play AoW:Shadow Magic? And did you like it?

I played AoW:SM a lot and I think it's still the best of its kind. Been following AoW3 myself for a while now, but decided not to get hyped until it's out. What they're doing with the hero characters could be nice. There'll be much fewer races on release, although possible playstyles per race are supposed to be more varied.

They confirmed the release date is March 31st.  :)

Too bad they dropped so many races from initial version. Mainly, all the special/interesting races are gone (R.I.P frostlings and dark elves). Hopefully they'll add more races later or make it available for modders.

New combat system looks awesome though! In AoW:SM the lower tier units got completely useless in no time, but they seem to have balanced that scale in this.

By looking at this video , it must be great but as yo mentioned , too much hype = fail , so better wait and see..

"Released" - Steam won't let me get it.
Sitting on teamspeak just waiting to start, just trying to find out a specific release time.

Apparently it'll could be around 10am Pacific - given that this is allegedly Steam's usual release time... :(
And then just got told "apparently it won't be released until 6pm GMT+1" so...  :cry:

After few hours of playing it seems very good! I love the new battle system, much more tactical than in AoW:SM.... not to mention the overall athmosphere is awesome.  8-)

Anyone playing AoW III that has already played Fallen Enchantress : Legendary Heroes ?

I'd like to know if it's more difficult, with a smarter AI, and no OP starting class.
I got a bit bored of FE : LH, since you always progress in the same way, and it's not really depending of your opponents or the environment at your spawn.
