New Weps - Advice for a returning player

Been a while since I've played cRPG. I've noticed several new weapons rolling about NA1, such as the Long Morningstar and a bunch of different types of Longswords, plus a fair amount of right-swinging one-handers. Additionally, some underused weapons (when I was around) are now seeing a lot more action than I remember, such as the Hafted Blade and the German Poleaxe.

While I still believe my Flamberge to be the best weapon ever made, I'd like to hear what the community has to say about these new weapons. Most importantly (for me, in any case), what 2Handers are good/popular nowadays?

Zweihander + Mask of the Father

As u said already, the Flamberge is awesome, but u would need a balanced build to use it nowadays. Pretty hard to fight agi whores with it (well the good ones..). 

If u like it short and strong use the 2Handed warhammer. Fucking amazing weapon.

German/Danish are still op! If u like it long and pokey.

For a relatively long, good damage outputting and fast weapon I would reccommend the Longsword. In my opinion the best 2H in this game!

the best axe I used was the celtic axe. Simply cuz it got good stats and the damage it does is fucking amazing.

STR: 27
AGI: 15

WPF-2H: 111

WM: 3
ATH: 5
IF: 9
PS: 9

Everything else is 0. My gear is:

Ornamented Helm/Gloves/Boots/Cuirass
Masterwork Flamberge

go 27 18. And with this build the best weapons you can use are:

Longsword (fucking love it )
2H warhammer
Flamberge
German/Danish

If u feel too slow, try to level up and go for more IF, dont imo go for more agi. Actually this build is one of my favourites
If u feel too weak, go for 30 15. Also pretty nice, but requires teammates, otherwise ull be shot pretty fast!

tried spamberge with 27 18 on a lvl 36 char, works fine for me U should give it a try!

The new heavy great sword is awesome with a balanced build.

It is a truly unique weapon. really good with a 21/21 build



other than that I suggest trying the new longswords as they are all interesting and viable alternatives to the "longsword".

I'm tempted to try the Heavy Great Sword for the simple fact that it looks like a zweihander. Besides that, I can spam with a Longsword like a lunatic akin to any cRPG sperg worth his salt, to the point where I do significantly better on a 1v1, but I always feel a bit... Soiled when I use one. I dunno, I guess Dark Souls II conditioned me to abhor the weapons most easily exploited.

27-15 is amazing for that bulk (9IF). Athl is overrated. Allthough i used this with a shielder+plate charater.
