Mystical Ninja isn't scary. It's about a blue haired guy and his fat friend trying to save Japan from being taken over by dancing robots fired from a peach shaped space ship.

he also fights with a pipe and they´ll get friends like a green haired ninja girl with a bazooka and a cyborg who fights with his hair. Also: huge storyline, diverse gameplay, zelda-like dungeons/castles, good humor

gosh that game was brilliant

don´t forget the awesome powerranger-robot bossfights...and the transformation-intros!
sorry for the crappy quality

If game isn't at least a bit scary, it ain't for me. Sorry Berenger, personal taste. No mystery, no physiological horror, no fun. Even Deus Ex has a little bit of that.

Gotta go play Psychonauts, if you haven't already or if it wasn't mentioned in the first thread (sorry, never even seen the first one).

a cyborg who fights with his hair.
That wouldn't be Kabuki Quantum fighter would it? Played a NES game like that when I was a kid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ky7LUdTDQ5w

Berenger, ever tried the first Splinter Cell?

I tried Psychonauts, controls were pretty shit and my first hour seemed nothing but an awkward drawn-out tutorial so I quit. It really seemed like a game made for 8-year olds, but I guess I didn't stick it out long enough for all the mature witty social commentary that everybody is so hyped about.

Long time ago. On PS2 iirc.

Only scary thing in Deus Ex (1) was Icarus phone call. And I've played enuff of scary games. No more.

Pretty much that I guess. It takes a little bit of patience to get into it. But believe me, it isn't just an overhyped piece of garbage. It really is a game worth playing from the beginning to the end. No idea about the social commentary part though. I try not to squeeze meaning out of games unless they are obviously trying to communicate a message.
