Your situation doesn't sound that different from a lot of people I've known, especially around that age. Sometimes when you've lived in the same place for a long time, it's easy to feel stuck in the rut. Here's what I'd suggest: either change your scenery or if you can't do that, try to make the place where you are the type of place you want to be.

Have you ever thought about getting some work that would involve travel? Even just temporary volunteer stuff for a few months can really open your eyes plus you'd get to meet new people. You've got some real technical skills too which would be very useful to a lot of organizations which normally might get volunteers straight out of college with a degree but few practical technical skills. You've got your whole life ahead of you to work so why not take some chances and make a few mistakes now. Trust me, it's easier to do it at 19 than later when you have more responsibilities! If you can buy the plane ticket there's lots of places you can live for free while having an adventure too.

A lot of cities have animal shelters and dog rescues that are run by volunteers. Basically anything social and away from the computer would work though.
