If you worry about the DPS value displayed on the character page, don't let that bother you. It doesn't accurately reflect how useful skills like Panetti's is. Surely it is not going to feel smashingly powerful against single bosses, especially melee ones, yet it is a sustainable skill if developed right. When fully upgraded, and later with the help of skill bossting items, it grows into a huge crowd control skill. And crowd control should be a squishy character's primary attribute. Or else even petty harpies are going to come too close and dish out large chunks of hp.

Panetti's deals elemental damage and aether damage. When picking up equipment, try to find stuff with bonuses on these. Remember, your weapon isn't going to be used for melee. So, just consider how much boost you get from it for these two damage types. I don't know if you are using a shield, but consider dropping it if you do. Instead use tomes, offhands and implements.

Also remember that you can always respec Panetti's and redistribute skills as you wish. However, note that I have a lvl 85 battlemage character with whom I made it all the way to Loghorrean and kicked his ass on ultimate difficulty without dieing a single time. And from the beginning to the end, I used Panetti's. It is really useful and sustainable.

My Demolitionist just seems better, Also just realized he's only on normal, while the Arcanist is Normal, Veteran(need to beat the game to unlock higher). Still, He has CC and just tanks. I do better at tanking the soldiers do...

The normal-veteran difference must have created the impression that your arcanist is performing worse. But you will be fine. You will probably even be able to tank most mobs. From Elite difficulty and on though, you will start to feel squishy. Your second class choice might give you a little edge in that regard. But don't rush it for now. You can always decide later.

I bought this game a year or so ago, never really played it all that much. It wasn't bad but I had got it to play with friends and we never could get a couple nights together to have fun. So I recently used this cheat engine to give me max whatever and run speed... I'm sure everyone will say " oh you're ruining your game" blah blah, but in all honestly it would have just sat in my steam library and I never would have completed it. So I'm not quite sure how far I am into the game but I've almost got everything on the map unlocked?

TL;DR I am a cheater. Bash me.

Be more like me: A proud coward who wouldn't even consider creating a hardcore char. There are so many hazards that can kill you before you even know it. So many that hardcore is downright masochistic.

Yup, the Soiled Trousers offer a good laugh. I miss Titan Quest's easter egg/parody item sets though. You would find, for example, a santa set and a texan set.

Completed the Hidden Path by the way. I am kind of disappointed that it doesn't add too much content. I am itching for an expansion already. Nevertheless it's good to grab 3 extra skill points and 3 extra stat points.
