Kurds would be able to handle ISIS, but the problem is US policy. All the US aid goes to Baghdad, and Baghdad doesn't give it to Kurds. And the US tells Kurds that they will be represented by Baghdad in meetings etc, when those two hate each other. Kurds were also never officially trained by the coalition troops because of Baghdad's objections.If US policy just shifted and supported the Kurds fully then ISIS would have their hands full.
Turkey would leave NATO over that.
