When you claim leadership in a clan and you do it successfully well the original leader still be a leader but at a lower rank?

He will still have some authority being at rank 9, but technically a clan's leaders are only those that are rank 10. However,should you be promoted to rank 10 and he be demoted to rank 9, you can always use your new-found powers to promote him back to rank 10.
