Lolstab anyone?

Looks like Chivarly with more dynamic combat, nothing special to me.

Yeah I don't get what everyone else is seeing because it looks a lot like Chivalry to me to be honest. It does seem to have a more aggressive pace which looks fun but ultimately I don't see anything that makes me care that much.

It's Chivalry with different models and textures and maybe chamber-blocking. But it's so obvious it's just Chivalry with a couple of changes.

Looks a bit more fast pace to me, Chivalry seemed slow.

Yeah, I was wondering if anyone else really noticed that this game's mechanics honestly don't look all that different than warband's, in that they seem like they have a high potential for abuse. The guy who put up those videos got most of his kills by turning his back on his enemy then dragging a stab 180 degrees around, sound familiar? I also wonder whether the blocking is actually directional or not. There only seem to be 2-3 blocking positions, and they don't even seem to necessarily line up with the incoming attack's direction all the time.

The only reason that this game seems faster paced than chivalry is because of the chambering mechanic (which I am guessing wasn't in chivalry). These guys seems to simply spam chambers most of the time, leading me to believe that the window for successfully chambering has got to be a lot larger than warband's. After a month of playing this game everyone would have mastered the art of chambering everything, and combat would just devolve into who misclicks incorrectly first.

Yes, I'm also wondering if it's directional blocking or not.

If you pay attention, you see the player always aims at the weapon about to hit him in order to block, like in Chivalry.

Also, there don't seem to be weapon sweetspots and the like, see the part where the guy just stabs the other guy in the face at point blank, for example.

All in all, does look like something to keep an eye on.

It was just like that in Chivalry as well. That was the main reason I quit playing that game. People would just keep facehugging you and spamming stab with fast 1h aiming at your feet at point blank and that was very hard to block.

If weapons don't bounce like in Warband, it's a total mess.

Somebody should already tell developers who intend to develop games like this one that overrated stabs ruin anything you might have done right.

And what about useless stabs?
