I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

I have been thinking about this too... If you can't beat 'em, join 'em...

I have written down what HAs from 18-18, 15-21, 12-24 would look like, but I don't know what the successful HAs use.  I figure you need at least 4 PD, and all the riding you can get.  Is going up to 4 HA worth it or not?  Converting 8 points of skills for a 15-24 build, sacrificing Ath and PS?  Who needs Ath if you're on a horse?

I was also wondering if anyone was down-converting some attributes back into skills.  15-18 or 12-21 lets you have significant amounts of PS and even IF or shield if wanted, more of a hybrid.

Dunno how much the HA is worth without loomed arrows and bow i think i need to compensate with more PD then riding and and wpf

i have tried 9/30, 12/27, 12/30, 15/24, 18/18 and i'm currently doing a 15/18 converting stat points to skill points.
15/24 seems to be best pure HA, but all my stuff is masterwork so i think an 18/18 or 21/18 would be better if you need the extra dmg using unheirloomed stuff.

the 15/18 build i am doing right now is super fun, 5ps 5pd 4if 6ath 6rid 6wm 3ha
so it can run and fight on foot as well as on horse. wpf is 150bow 50 1h.
after retiring this one im going to make a 15/24 and i won't retire again so ill convert all stats after 30 to skills and pump them into ps then athletics if i get that high level

24 agility
15 str

HA4
PD5
Riding 6 (Never understimate the power of a fast horse)
WM8
All WPP in archery

-Strongbow (Good shot speed)
-Courser (x2+ heirloomed if possible - again speed is key for my play style - speed will also help with the lack of melee wpp and PD)
-Bodkin arrows (Never spam, learn to shoot, it will pay off in the long run)
-No helmet, not needed. Any helmet that will make an arrow not kill you from a HS will be too heavy
-1h weapon (fast and long if possible)

Hope that helps.

Trying out a HA character sounds interesting, because to be able to say anything bad about them one must really have tryed playing one to have all the facts absolutely straight. I have tried playing HA in single player with pretty great success. Though, not in cRPG (yet)

Btw, if Im going to try a HA char, I'd go for 15/24 (STR/AGI) too. ( 8 skillpoints converted to Attributes)
Skills like this:
Ironflesh         1
Riding             6
Horse Archery  4
Power Draw     5
Weapon Master8

That would give 173 archery WPF. Equipment would be Strong bow and 3x Barbed arrows. (normal ones if I get poor) Horse would ofcourse be a courser like Cris, due to high speed => melee cavalry can never catch up with you.

EDIT: Forgot that 24 agi means 8wm.

EDIT2: With Sarranid Leather armor and no helmet, total equipment costs would be about 35k with 3x barbed arrows.
