Soulcalibur and whatever the sequels were named were good fighting games, and to my surprise even Smackdown vs Raw (I think) where you could fine-tweak and customize your personal fighter. But Tekken is the best by far, I used to play Hwoarang and later Lei with his very powerful leg sweeps (many players are worse at blocking down) and being close to the ground most of the time so as to rob his opponent of most of his special moves (also great drunken master) but went more and more over to use Bryan Fury who works excellent for more block oriented fighting style. It's been many years since I played it though sometimes I almost buy a console again just to play Tekken and Red Dead Redemption.

Block and punish with launchers, if they spam they probably dont ever block. That said my friend kept fucking me over with infinite mid and low kick spam with Ancient ogre, cant block for shit and cant low parry it either. Must be mistiming it ugh.

When I was about 14 years old I'd played a lot of Tekken but never really learned blocking very well yet and I went into a game shop where you could play Tekken on a PS1 and told the two friends who were with me to watch me destroy some even smaller kid who was standing there playing. Few minutes later he had obliterated me probably without losing any health whatsoever by only abusing ancient ogre low kicks

If you enjoy watching high level tekken plays, Justframejames always delivers. His yoshimitsu is so incredibly enjoyable to watch, some say its all gimmick plays but he pulls off the craziest shit, and has moves for all situations. Around 26 minutes you even get a tasty seppuku kill. And this is tournament plays. I've gotten stuck just continuosly following chains of tournament plays with him in it for hours.

I dont play the game that much but i love watching pro's play it.

I liked the best Fight Night series, but that's just because I like boxing so much.
