the biggest I've seen IRL is a cecropia moth. They seem HUGE AS FUCK in person, but there are larger moths out there, even here in my temperate climate. Don't need a rainforest to get monster bugs.

loginedit: a moth that large represents a huge investment of effort and energy on the moth's part. I always let big guys go in the wild with a habitat matching their species. They're a rare thing, and letting it die is like starving a lynx to death for the sake of keeping it.
