That is what throw me away from that game, after not that bad intro we are starting to collect flowers and hunt for boars... I was like wtf and uninstalled the game within a minute... I expected some good action from that game, for me it was just another dissapointing AAA title that I couldn't even play for more than 1 hour. Good thing that I acutlly pirated this one.

Nah its cool after a while. Like you need to play by just sieging all the bandit bases. You can lure tigers there or find them locked up and free them and everyone freaks out and get mauled. You can use chaos like that to begin shanking guards and go for the high XP no alarms/alerts bonuses when taking over the bases.

The hunting and crafting is real fast and worth it for a few upgrades at the start and can immediately be ignored after. But the chilled out approach I took starting out made me enjoy the game a lot more cuz the map is really well made, the combat all works good, and leveling up your shanking abilities to move more like Batman makes everything more fun.

I don't remember anything positive about the story or main quests really, but damn did I enjoy trying out shit like "stand on a cliff and rain rockets down on a base and trigger alarms and backup for huge firefights" or "batman stealth ledge assassinate lookouts while bears maul everyone to death"

Well, it's true there's freeroam, but I object to FC3's freeroam being better than the missions. The lack of challenge and repetitivity of everything you can do on the island, compounded with the excessive reliance on UI elements makes the whole thing not all that compelling. At least the missions offer a more diverse experience..

Do the snakes actually turn you off from the game? :P

Yes. I would parachute from the highest building or mountain in the world. Or fight in a war or go toe to toe with Mike Tyson in his prime or whatever. But Snakes? Fuck that.

Honestly controllers are way better designed for everything but strategy games than a mouse. Get with the times grandpas
Mouse is superior by far to a controller when it comes to aiming.
Meaning lies as much
in the mind of the reader
as in the Haiku.

2-4 have been way too similar, having played through them all.  I need something different from a mission based system or an on rails experience.

So after giving FC 3 more than a few chances after 10 hours I deinstalled the game and came to the conclusion it's utter crap as I figure in the strat. Will not be getting FC 4 even if it was free, gg Ubisoft you've done it again
And now he can't play because of "common sense" and he doesn't understand how this common sense works

@Molly: just looking out for my bros

@Clock: I wrote about it before in the thread. The game gets really old really fast, it's blockbuster movie experiece with nice looks but shit beneath it, story, characters, typical go there and hunt this animal with the bow 50 times side quests or kill the commander in a true whatever fassion with a knife 100 times just gets dull. Plus the fact you can basically run up to the enemy camp in a car stop there get out on the hill, snipe them run 20 meters right "damn I lost him" and do the same again... little stuff like that, absolutley didn't believe anything happening in the game, the struggle against pirates, main protagonist, main story all seems bogus and artificial, a prop for: we got nice gfx, come and blow 20 stray dogs with a rpg (an actual sidequest )

Far Cry 4 is campy on purpose, like Uwe Boll films.  You're not supposed to take the plot seriously   That said its almost verbatim Far Cry 3, but with different scenery.  Not worth a purchase IMO

meh whateves, im sure as hell enjoying the hell out of it,

wingsuiting off a cliff to drop takedown 2 enemies, then chaining together several more takedowns, and ending it all with a grenade takedown or handgun takedown to seal the deal is fun as fuck.

plus the new driving mechanics are great aswell. and the goddamn elephants.

omg this. Infiltration in FC3 is really silly.
