Right now everyone has to retire 16 times to get the exp bonus on a second character. At the moment a loom point cost like 280K so there is not really a point to retire. I myself is gen 23 but and there is no option to transfer the number of gens you have onto another character 0.0.  gen 1 to gen 16 takes around few hundred hours and its really tiring.

why is it not allowed to have the gen bonus work for all chars? The players themselves level up from gen 1 to gen 16+ and they have to do the same again for second chars?

And why should that be aĺlowed? To give veteran players even more advantages over newbies? If anything, generations exp bonus should be reduced.

Taken the time to build a alt to 16 will take around a cople of hundred hours, there are literally no point in levelling alts other than your main since the exp bonus on Alts is 0. and the fact that loom points nowdays cost so low there is no reason to retire unless you are a new player to cRPG .

why shouldn't that be allowed?

There's a very good reason why that shouldn't be allowed.
As a veteran player with 16+ generations, you already have a big advantage over new players by having looms, gen bonus, your skill at the game and/or high level. This all puts new players at such a big disadvantage that very few of them are able to stay and keep playing.
What you're asking for is to give veterans even more advantage, so that they could level up their mains to 34/35/36 levels without having to retire since they can get looms with their alts having the generation exp bonus. I think it sucks.
If you want more looms, retire your main or level up your alt. If you want high level, stop retiring. Everything should have its drawbacks and you just want to have everything without losing anything.

Again what you said very much forced most "verteran" cRPG players to be playing as only class and no any other. There are people out there who would love to level up a alt to level 35 but that would be insane with a gen 1 character. Since there are no point to level up a alt to level 35 no more. Eventually more old cRPG players will quit as it is getting tiring and boring as many already did. if cRPG wants to have those old players back the devs should consider this as it means old cRPG players have the chance to build up another char and play as them up to level 35 as with their main.

As for myself, a gen 23 character , the only loom i have is a miaodao and with 15k gold

Sorry but this is a pretty silly idea.
As you stated yourself, loompoints are at a historical low so it is already pretty easy to obtain loompoints by simply buying them.
Now you want to make retiring alt characters even easier? Make loompoints become even cheaper? Every alt in fully loomed gear because they'll just retire their alts and acquire even more looms?
Because that is what's going to happen.

People decide at one point to go high level with their main character to gain those few points advantage over others. They use their main because they've grown fond of their character.
Alt chars are just for once or twice a week to play something else and maybe get a loompoint out of retiring - that is their main purpose.
I don't think anyone considers their alt characters as something important.
The majority uses those to gain more looms and have a little bit of diversity from playing the main.

A clear "No" from me... silly suggestion is silly.

I have 26 alts and I rarely play my main(I'm afraid to not have the excuse: "I only lvl 31 u no-life lvl 36 power gamer!")

20 of those alts are gen 2... so I would love this idea for a while... then it would just feel pointless, those 20 gens wasted...

Wouldn't it be easier to Tweak the LP market by adding: Pay one LP to gain +1 generation. It is supply and demand, and this would make all of those high level, low gen, gamers scramble for LP. The LP prize would get a huge boost then hopefully settle down at a more reasonable level(400-500k)

Possible side effects:
All 16+ gen gamers can then post gifs with "Deal with it" against their main adversaries that's not gen 16+ that all of a sudden "must" buy LP to get the full gen boost.

OT but somewhat related:
Making it possible to transfer XP from one character (which is then deleted along wiht it's gens) to another would be really helpful.
I got like 10 alts with quite a lot of XP which I would be happy to transfer to other alts to increase their xp and thus levels.

Bad idea is bad. The bitching is required so that others know the general opinion of the suggestion.

I feel your pain... the manner in which almost all persons interact here, with that I mean the interent in general, is crude, unsophisticated and often offensive.

We should abolish Freedom of speech and introduce freedom of sensible speech instead muting everyone that is:
A. Immature
B. Lacking in social skill
C. Behaving as a bully
D. Lacking dignity, honour and honesty in general.

And introduce a centralized UN database of all those that are allowed to communicate over the internet, Where I will be chairman and you might be a permanent member of the "Internet Etiquette Council" depending on how much resources you are willing to donate to the salary of the chairman(me).

To be clear I do not want the moeny for my own sake, It's just one of the most efficient ways to make sure that you are willing to commit to this, our righteous and dignified cause.

Let's propose a Resolution in the UN and form a UN organization called: "World Initiative; General Anti Terror-Speech Division"(WI; GATSD)
It's not intentional but the WI;GATSD would probably be used by our enemies, they would most lkely say:

" Hah! WI;GATSD, that should mean: Welcome to Internetz, Grow A Thicker Skin Dude! "

Yours sincerely
United Nations Division of International Etiquette & Sincerity aka. UNDIES
