Or maybe it's because there are a million things to worry about before turning to archers being able to shoot from below 100 range. Really, how often is that a problem? Once every 1000 games?

Gurnisson already posted in this thread. I don't know where it can be changed and it's unlikely someone like chadz will respond. It works well enough, but that does happen and other times it just doesn't bump when it should, especially against throwers.
