Well, QS wins in terms of length, speed, and cost. And it has knockdown. And yet, it has felt weird to me when using it in terms of getting a feel for my reach with it.

Personally, I like the spear better for its easy pierce damage.


However, I hate fighting against either of them. So spammy, but I hate fighting the spear more-so if that tells you anything. (Fear the spear).

Back when polestun was a thing you could easily stunlock people to death with an MW qstaff. The lols were near infinite.

Spear, of course. Insane close quarters stab makes it the best hoplite/2h polearm mixed weapon.

If it's a 1v1 duel, I would take the quarterstaff. It is balanced in all attack directions so feinting and directional combos are harder for the enemy to block. It also has knockdown, which can mean gg in a 1v1 fight.

In a group battle I'd take the spear. You can easily chip away with side and overhead swings, but as soon as your ally forces the enemy to block anything but down, you can stab for serious damage.

im 2 neckbeard for boar spear tho spear and q staff are so similar mainly its just q staff more damage fast longer besides spear has a big damage stab

i beilive it has polestagger the spear since its a spear and other spears have this tho i dunno i thought polestagger was all removed
