The rolling part is true. I think the input for roll should start and end earlier, since it feels like you have to wait before you're allowed to input the roll. It should be tougher to roll if you're taken by surprise.
As for knockdown %, it's around double. 0.07 = 7%, etc. 2h/polearms should probably aim for the legs and 1h should aim for the head.
