Melee has definitely become harder to rock in 1 versus many due to smaller skill differences, but also due to the amount of hits you need to kill each one of those guys ganking you. When they all start spamming because they don't care about getting hit once or twice, it's much harder to make each one of them pay their mistake. The overall toughness of people increased both after the soak/reduce changes an eternity ago and also slowly through armor heirlooms.
