this site looks good http://www.logicalincrements.com/ - just realised you can change currency also :)

unrelated:
wow I did some research and I built my pc 3.5 years ago, which itself is a shocker feels like <2 years, but it seems to have lost like £50 value which I really dont understand.

the 2x4gb 1600hmz ram I got for £38 is now £70. wtf seems like ram prices have increased or at least stayed the same.
the i5 2500k still seems worth the £140 I paid - the new i5 4570 at same price doesn't seem to be better
my 6950 was £180 its on par or slightly worse than the new 7850 which is £130. so I have lost some value there but surprising little

pffft and people talk about upgrading PC's every year. kind of disapointed I cant buy a new graphics card better than my current for cheap tho, what happened to moore's lore?! especially anoying because my 6950 is fucking horridly loud.

Well, it has been a while like that. PC hardware is stagnating. Also, RAM prices fluctuate quite a bit. There are often a few months during which prices can spike. I once had to buy during a really high spike, paid more than 4x the amount I would have paid 3 months earlier/later.

Learn to build a computer, there's like 4 parts you need to install, you just plug shit in, its really fucking simple. Then can charge your friends money to fix their computers (aka just reformat their harddrive everytime and blame porn).  Also pirate Windows 8.1 yourself, that adds like 200 bucks to buying a pre-made one that has it installed already usually.

this, I can't believe I actually paid £70 for my copy of windows 7. cant even find the CD so I'll to pirate it anyway if I reformat.

I build my pc at 17 with a bit of help, my cousin is 16 and just did his without help - probably just youtubed it. building PC's is easy, only thing misleading is the overly complicated branding of the pieces. if you can follow instructions for a cupboard from ikea, you'll do fine.

I'd say connecting the motherboard to the case (USB, power button) can be tricky. That's the only thing that isn't the same big obvious slot, they are very small and change from board to board. But a diagram will be right there in the manual anyways.

I mean a PC is just screwing a mobo into a case, plopping in a CPU, jamming in a videocard and some ram, then running a cable to your harddrive and plugging everything into the power supply. That's it. Be a real nerd and learn some useful (probably not) skills.

Here you go, under $700 and built for you, though I would add another $99 and upgrade to the GTX660 because it is worth, and will still be under $800.

http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/AMD_Six_Core_Configurator/

That's pretty much what I have and I would recommend it, although I picked the parts out and put it together myself. I wish I had gone with the GTX660 instead of the Radeon HD 7870 but it was cheaper at the time I bought it. It holds up well but certain games have some micro-stuttering to them and most games are made with nVidia in mind but maybe it'll pay off when some of the next-gen cames cross to the PC.
And how!

You really should look into building your own. Parts listings always have a ton of minor/unimportant specs, that makes it look more daunting than it actually is. Pretty much everything fits together as easy as Lego pieces, and the only tool you need is a screwdriver.

On the other hand, you're rather far from most English retailers, right? Lots of parts could mean expensive shipping if you don't get a bundle deal.

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

That PC will melt after at most15 minutes of use.
