Throwing: BUILD & EQUIPMENT

So I've been dicking around throwing build threads, but I can't really decide what to do. All the other builds I used were either mildly satisfying or just disappointing.

Also I've been on a training hiatus for a while, been going to duel servers in Native that are about toe-to-toe in terms of skill compared to cRPG (tho' no fancy tincans [BESIDES RHODOKS], looking at you Plumbo).
Found that Heavy Throwing Axes are so good, one shots medium to low armor and is a great melee weapon, also ruins the day of backpedallers considering you have a proper distance against them. Also horses, faceshot them right and enjoy anally ravaging the poor bloke face down in the dirt 'till prolapse.

However, cRPG does not have preset builds and all the other bullshit.

Soooo... What Throwing weapon should I use? Pros & Cons? Upkeep and strategy for each? Also what about armor and such?
Word on the street is that the Throwing Lance is the big thing. True?

I am pure thrower and get pretty much kills with my current build&equipment.

Here is my build
Attribute points:0
Strength:21
Agility:18
Weapon points:2
One Handed:51
Two Handed:2
Polearm:2
Throwing:144
Crossbow:1
Archery:1
Skill points:0
Weapon Master:6
Athletics:6
Riding:0
Iron Flesh:0
Shield:0
Horse Archery:0
Power Strike:4
Power Draw:0
Power Throw:7

I am using +3 heavy throwing axes but +0s also doing very good if you wanna know more about pros and cons here we go from my aspect.
Pros:
Horse killer
Heavy damage to any class (Can kill tincan in 3-4 hit)
Nice melee damage
Ability to run away from most people
Can 1 hit kill a Cav riding towards you
Can nudge enemy far away letting you to escape

Cons:
Has the least ammo after throwing lance
Melee reach is short
Short distance (Unlike jarids which is mid-short)
Low hp

My tactic is always looking for low armored enemy and shoot them to death, grab axes back if possible and keep doing same to others but never use all 8 of axes because you will need at least 1 axe to use in melee mode, it is eaises thing to shoot a cav running towards you as well. Some people also get faked when you are about to throw but still holding then you change into melee then charge, many people fail t oblock at true time :)

Main difference between heavy throwing axes and jarids is that axes deal more damage but harder to shoot someone at mid distance and axes does cut damage which is awesome when facing mid-low armored enemies but jarids are more of tincan killers, it has more ammo stock however it's melee mode is not really useful

If you really wanna carry a jarid like throwing weapon, stock 1 throwing lance it will probably 1 hit kill many enemy or at least deal %90 damage.

Pros and cons for jarids and lances

Jarids
pros
Can shoot into mid distance
Pierce damage (Mostly good against heavy armors)
Enough ammo stock per round
horse killer as well
cons
Useless melee mode
Pierce damage( against mid-low armor)

Throwing lance
Pros
Faking awesome damage
1 hit kill any cav running towards you
max 2 hit to kill anything (Sometimes 3 to heaviest plates)
Decent melee damage (Blunt and pierce)
Cons
Only 1 lance per stock
7ps requirement

Hmmm... Looking for a good hybrid, leaning to using melee a lot. Throwing Lance seems like the best pick honestly, since I always spend all my ammo one-shotting low armored or injured blokes.

What armor works the best for a throwing lance build? And what build should I use?

I can't really tell much about the armor because you won't be able to pick lances you threw if you reach the armor weight limit but I would say don't buy armor weights over 12.5 kg

It is related to your wpf in throwing tho but I believe somebody else can be more helpful in calculating wpf to weight

As for throwing lance build, you have to have at least 21 str, you can choose less accuary and more damage but I would say 21/18

Something like this?

Level 30
(SKL to ATR: 8)
---------------
STR:21
AGI:18
---------------
POLE:120
THRW:135
---------------
WP:5
ATH:5
PT: 7
PS:6
IF:0

I was also planning on using Palace Guard Armor plus some Light Strange Gloves and Khergit Leather Boots, with no helmet (maybe a hood or a turban hat).
And yes, I know the gloves and boots have a large impact on the throwing threshold, but these two seem light enough to handle it.
If anyone can post a formula for this, it would be much appreciated.

The problem is to know real armor's weight, because we have different valours everywhere.

My question is how did you get 135 throwing 120 pole. With this new wpf patch you wont have enough wpf even with 6 wm to do that much. Im level 31 maxed out throwing lance build and I only have 120 throwing 96 wpf.
You can breathe..this is not a dream I really just slayed you.

My lancer build was 21-21 7ps/pt/ath/wm. Probably like 110wpf in both pole and throwing. I wore peasant armor and tried to stay fast and agile. I still got the +3 lance so hit me up if you want to trade.
