What's it with those byz helmets? They must be the most contested items in the mod. Make a thread in the suggestion forum and add a poll.

I think it's the mail texture that is misleading. It's hard to differ what part of mail is in front and what part is actually the back side of the helmet.
If I'm not mistaken, ingame it looks like:

You can actually see a tiny borderline on the original image, I think. Same with Vaegir Nobleman helmet:

, although it looks much more clear.
