I assume that since he is able to send people flying about five to six feet because at some point he must have been bitten from a radioactive spider that possibly originated from near the Fukushima Plant, which we all know became damaged because of the events ensuing the March 11th Tsunami that caused such devastating damage to the island nation of Japan.
Myself being an islander whos' mother is allergic to spider bites, I saw the spider upon Palatro and my protective instincts emerged. Arys also tried to remove the spider, I don't know why I face such ping-sercution.
