Hello cRPG community! In DTV, there are bots as you all well know. We fight these bots. However we cannot fight these bots when they are stranded in places we cannot reach. This includes places observed to be too high to reach, in spots walled off by goddamn invisible barriers, or at the bot spawn. But this also includes places that bots find that are under water. If we attack them to proceed in DTV, we sacrifice at least one man if he gets the job done. That may not seem like much but it sure is if we are (as often seen) with less than 10 people playing. Still there are even situations on maps involving water that we cant access at all and have to change those maps, never to play them after all the hard work getting them made and put on the servers. Example:
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=223081690 on the bridge of lotr khazad dun map.
I have made tons of maps before so I know exactly what an arduous task it is. And I am sure there will be problems with bots getting stuck in water in the future, as there are already problems with bots getting stuck in water now.
So I propose a permanent solution. We should instead implement a simple bot-drown mechanic, that kills bots like it kills players in battle and siege. It should be easy, if it already exists for the player client. This would solve the water-bot problem for good, and I do believe this is the best solution.
Do consider, and all the best
