Which implies there's only one side that has everything wrong, instead of the existence of multiple point in the space of opinions that are terribly wrong on some aspects of a problem but still make their proponents make bold and invalid claims.
Which is why I think discussing among the community is more hurtful to the game than helpful. (In most cases) Of course people will try to support what they believe in even if given reasons as to why the other way is better.
Changing the minds of the people is nearly impossible unless they are lead to believe that what they use against the argument is invalid.
Even then, some people will not comply.
It's like being an economist. You have to look at all the possible effects of a solution before implementing it. Taking the opinion of the majority will just leave you with a mash of failed solutions that looked good on paper. Most communities will try to get things that will help
themselves. It is only natural and part of the "Free Enterprise" idea. Although, as I said people do not look at the consequences (Everyone is guilty of this.)
I will once again mention, that this is satirical.
