The Long Awlpike outclasses the Corseque in every category. It has 1 more speed, 21b overhead instead of 21p and more stab damage. The weapons mentioned above are unaffected by the increase in 2d polearm buffs resulting form the increased polearm sideswing speed. This implies the other unaffected weapons aren't balanced. The regular awlpike is quite well off as well: a +3 ashwood pike is a regular awlpike with +3 speed.

The Corseque, Ranseur, Spetum and Partisan were historically used to mess around with shielders. Their offensive nudge should be given the ability to disturb blocking shielders within the weapons range, leaving the user vulnerable. Strong support weapons generate situations that award adaptative thinking, and reduce redundancy in game play. Shielders would no longer solo up the ladders, but rely on ranged and other melee.

Compare Corseque to the cheaper Spetum and Ranseur too. Corseque was already a joke, and the long awlpike buff made it look even more so.
I voted Gurnisson cause of his fucking bendy pike, I swear noone can roflcopter stab like he can.

.3 weight lower corseque means you can turn with the weapon quite a bit easier.

and 3 less str req, but long awlpike is still quite a bit better with the recent change.

Now compare Spetum and Corseque. Corseque has 2 less damage (pierce instead of blunt) and is more expensive. Ain't better at anything. Give Corseque 2 pierce or something?
