buff everything, make the game faster. Melee doesn't excite me any more, as each fight just comes down to who ever gets bored or ganked first. Faster is better imo
Making the game faster lowers the maximum playable ping, imo they should instead add more shit like nudges, kicks, and jumps, to pay attention to.
1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.

What do you want?

Intelligent posters and polls.
For while the fire in the heart of a single Remnant still burns... can Stratia truly have fallen?

Don't even remember what was going on back in March for this poll to be up.

Of course mechanics changes are best, but it's hard to say that any work on that will ever really occur, so we just argue about item stats that solves a quarter of one problem while possibly making others.

At least point, I think the bases are mostly covered with weapons, and the animations aren't going to change (this is where the real changes need to occur). So like others have said, I'm most interested in:

-Proper siege balance (decreasing defender respawn timer with lower population, primarily)
-Adding more mechanics (like nudge, except less OP)
-Buffing underpowered skills and stats (weapon master, shield, agility, riding, etc), by adding interesting modifiers. i.e. have weapon master enable fun combat mechanics, have shield skill reduce effective shield weight, having riding allow dismounts at speed, etc.
-Tweak animation sweetspot values to eliminate attacks that hit for full damage in the first 1% of the animation (hiltslashing, pointe-blank lolstabs, etc). Then speed up the overall combat speed to compensate.

Those 4 above would keep me playing for years.

I can tell you one thing for sure, if we had more of this, you'd see me openly discussing possible changes quite a bit more often.

Although I know I run the risk of being called a fascist, a communist or even a combination of both, I think democracy is a bad concept in general. Unless there is some sort of "qualification requirement" for those who are allowed to vote.

The reason is very simple: if you let everyone and his mother decide about stuff they have no clue of, only bullshit will come out. Just look at what politicians or parties are being elected. (If you don't know it already: watch the beginning of the movie "Idiocracy" - it's pure truth... and gold...  )

The same applies for cRPG. If you let the community vote, do you think you will get any other result to the question "What class do you want to have buffed" than the same one for the question "What class are you playing"? And the same thing, just vice versa, applies for nerfs and respective counter classes.

Don't expect the community to be mature, objective and - yes, I dare to say it - intelligent enough to make good and reasonable decisions about game design. Most of them don't even understand most basic concepts of balance!

The majority of all people will always be too biased and too incompetent to reasonably use democracy as means of decision. Democracy only works within a group of competent and enthusiastic people. It's the reason why - apart from politics - we encounter it so rarely in our life. Neither in your family, nor in school, at work, in the army, etc. we take democratic decision.

TL;DR: this topic will bring no good.

Joker makes a very good point.
