Power Strike and polearm WPF's effect on couched lance

Simple question really, does it affect it? I'm looking to make a dedicated build for couch lance and need to know if I would need power strike and pole wpf for it. I tried searching the forum, but I found answers that contradicted each other. Some people claimed that it affects it, some people claimed that it doesn't. Anyone can clarify before I start making a build? :)

Yes it does. Like normal attacks couching damage is affected by strength and weapon proficiency.
