Hello! Some of you may have heard of a awesome game called Europa Universalis! The games in the series (II, III, IV) are created by Paradox Interactive! I've in no way whatsoever followed the developement of EU IV but you can expect it to be buggy and flawed like any other paradox game at its release before being patched accordingly 2 years later

gonna pirate it and then decide whether it's worth buying or not

Well i doubt you have played any Europa Universalis game then! I have around 100 hours for every game and 300 for EU3 and i've encountered no bugs ;)

Well I doubt you have played any Europa Universalis game soon after its release then, they basically release unfinished games which they fix with expansion packs.

Well i doubt you have played any Europa Universalis game then! I have around 100 hours for every game and 300 for EU3 and i've encountered no bugs ;)

I'm not talking about actual bugs but rather flawed game play like hyper assimilation in Vic2, castille refusing to accept a white peace even though the war score is 99% in your favor but you just haven't taken that one colonial province in Africa, the inability of the US in Hoi 2 to properly handle nukes or how the Hoi2 AI in general assigns its generls

I don't think any of these flaws have prevailed but they were certainly huge atmosphere killers (at best and game breaking at worst) in the early versions of these games

They are flawed and buggy at release, but few do these games better than paradox studio.

Well in the 59 hours of EUIII I played I noticed many.

One of them is the infamous scottish resistance bug, that's just complete bs.

The other one is "Time of Troubles", it's just a total mess.

Somehow France pulled 40k troops out of their arse in one turn and invaded and inevitably destroyed my 15k army in Ireland (so far had been more than enough) and 15k in England.

Hasn't happened to me in the expansions after several games so I blame a crappy original.
