The banner purge has been active for almost a year now. Forgive me if I have doubts about the establishment of clear guidelines.

At least cmp responded to this thread. And not with an entirely unreasonable answer (though I really feel a year is a bit to long. oh well, not my game). We still haven't heard a goddamn peep about the fucking siege equipment. And I realize that is probably not your area cmp, I'm just saying no one from the dev team, as far as I have seen, has even acknowledged the problem exists.

chadz should get a proper PR dude. all of these EuroDevzTM are horrendously bad at interacting with the community (esp. u paul). it's pre funny watching these threads pop up and the devs give apathetic responses every time. :-)

And obviously the purgatory immersion fetish folks  don't give a fuck about game realism otherwise - and have no clue about how colorful and creative and obscene imagery (or heraldry) in medieval times actually was.

None of these examples are banners. Just because absurd or obscene medieval art exists doesn't mean it was prevalent on banners.

Yeah, we'll have guidelines sooner or later. In the meantime, if you're unsure whether your banner is legit or not, you can assume it's not.

I know what this is all about, cmp loves unicorns but is jelly he doesn't get to wear one or ride one. First CMP saw my beautiful unicorn texture, but because of a social anxiety disorder he was unable to simply ask me for it and instead will force anyone who uses textures to upload it to a database just so he can ride a unicorn too. Then CMP tried to push for a change in the Nord clan to have a cute unicorn banner, but it got denied because they thought it was to fabulous. Having to wait for his unicorn texture and not getting his unicorn banner cmp was very upset. Then one day he saw the cute derpicorn and it made him crazy from rage and envy. And that is how fun got nerfed again.

While I disagree I suppose I can sorta see your point. That being the case Could you please explain why this thread: http://forum.meleegaming.com/strategus-issues/are-catapults-fixed-yet-in-strategus-battles/  has not received any response from a dev? Even though there is a bit of shit in some later posts the OP was an earnest question that was asked in a nice enough manner ( just because it's kesh asking doesn't mean the community at large doesn't deserve an answer on a problem which has gone unacknowledged by developers for at least a month now).

Considering the Free Peasants had their banner removed just about every clan should be worried about their banner. As it stands the rules are vague and enforced arbitrarily.

I'll go by CMP's advice and make a banner that vaguely resembles a vagina, but since the dev team has yet to encounter such a thing, they will pass it as a medieval banner.
