No way, since kicking while blocking is removed, it is risky to try kicking someone.
It is in fact also extremely risky to stay in a 1meter radius around any enemy, now that kicks have such a huge range.
1) Kicks stay active for too long. Pretty much the same way overheads with very slow weapons connect with your toes.
2) The minimum time between your last attack and a kick is too short. Because this fucks up animations so bad, if you do it right the kick is impossible to spot until it's too late.
3) Kick chambering is nice, but a thousand times more risky than kicks and a thousand times more difficult to pull off.
