If you managed to get "good" at manual blocking (aka block basic attacks), watch good players on the Battle or Duel Server. Try to observe what makes them good and try to copy them. You don't need to be good at feinting, because basically it doesn't work as good as it used to be, just focus on blocking enemies and holding your swings ~0.5secs before you release them. If you get killed, try to rethink why you were killed and try to make it better next time. Well, and finding your "right" weapon also helps alot. If you're not good with stabs, get a weapon which doesnt have a stab.
