Some polearm suggestions

1. The new polearms: Nobody has any doubts that they look awesome, but most of them are redundant with others - basically, all the ranseur, spetum and corseque offer is a long awlpike with a (mostly useless) gimped overhead attack, that looks freaking ugly and unrealistic besides.
So, a both different and somewhat realistic suggestion: Give them polestagger! (Perhaps a little weaker than before.) These weapons all have hooks and protrusions that were meant to trap the enemy weapon or hook onto him. Balance them with speed and damage, and make them a real alternative to the long awlpike.

2. The partisan:
Well, whats the use? It has underwhelming damage for its thrust, okay swing damage (but you won't hit anything with that one), and is just generally inferior to everything else out there.
Suggestion: remove some length, give it four directions. A weaker, but more stabby version of the glaive that happens to only do cut damage.

3. Halberds:
I'm seriously missing these - one of the most iconic polearms of the late middle ages, and the only one of them in the game is pratically useless. The swiss halberd doesn't have the damage to be played like an awlpike, it's too short to be a support weapon and missing attack directions make it useless for everything else.
These weapons were versatile, could be used both as a single-fighting weapon (which is why it was used by guards) and as a large-formation battlefield weapon. Lots of player want to roleplay a halberdier, but they have to make do with either the german poleaxe (which looks kinda like one, but is too short), the glaive or the LHB (which sort of have the playstyle, but not the looks), or the useless swiss halberd.
Soooo:
Make the swiss halberd viable. Remake the german poleaxe into an actual halberd (as in, smaller head, longer pole.) As for the stats: imagine something like the Glaive/ LHB/War Scythe. Add some stab damage, remove some length, four directions (no-brainer ). Good, solid jack-of-all-trades weapons with reasonable speed and length, but less damage.

Right now, polearm has lots of potentially awesome weapons that all suffer from being not as useful as expected. They always force you to make a sacrifice in either speed, length (compared to the 2h OP animations especially), attack directions, or looks without giving enough in return. Change it!

Rather than make my own thread, figured i'd bump this one.

Partisan doesn't even rear horses because its not a pierce stab right? In anycase it doesn't really seem worth it with lowish cut damage. I doubt it does more damage than the Bill with the stab, and the Bill has a nice niche with its overhead.

Ranseur, Spetum and Corseque seem OK, but why not use the Long Awlpike? I could see myself using them instead of LA, but would be cool to get more varied polearm stats

The ranseur is the best of all those by far. And also the cheapest.
