If this is true I hope they dont get the full speed bonus but a reduced one. With a 7/30 lolbuild and 5HA the reticule while full speed is pretty small and its quite easy to hit somebody. Still the long reload on horse is a penalty but the very low str-requirement in combination with no-skill-point-required (except WM) is a too-easy combo imo.

The heavy lance is still the best lance for going 1v1 against another lancer.  That being said, if your heavy lance isn't masterworked, you're going to only be useful trying to take out other lancers head to head.  Which is about the worst use for cavalry if you're trying to help your team win.

23 pierce damage is way too low on the unloomed heavy lance, way too low.

As far as I know, no, it isn't. However, if the enemy moves towards the bolt it adds to the damage.
