retardo, this is your first gen, going heavy armor will make you lose tons of money. i would suggest using no more than transitional heraldic mail (only when multi is x5) and heraldic mail with tabard (when multi is x1-4) remember that you wont make alot of money with this set, so its actually better to stay with some low armor.
i cant say that those builds are bad, but i can tell you that i HATE hybrids. I personally more like a piker, but i would suggest the 21/18 build because the balanced ones are always the best (be sure, this wont be the best build for every polearm, so you will have to play a generation and after that try another generation with some different build (like 24/15)
now on grumbs builds:
Try some builds with this site: http://infinitum.dyndns.org/crpg/calc.htm
This is an idea you could try:
Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)
Strength: 18
Agility: 18
Power Strike: 6
this is the problem with the first build: you have less powerstrike and it makes you alot weaker
Shield: 4
Weapon Master: 0
One Handed: 1
Polearm: 114
the problem with the second build is: you have no weapon master because you use 4 shieldskill, but that is useless with 0 wpf in onehanded (even if you want to go hoplite, 114 wpf and 4 shieldskill would be SUPER slow)
so what i suggest is a pure polearm build 21/18 at lvl 30
str 21
agi 18
ironflesh 2
powerstrike 7
athletics 6
weapon master 6
wpf in polearms: will be around 160
at lvl 31 you will be able to add 5 ironflesh and you will be a TANK
otherwise i would suggest this hoplite build at lvl 30(i use(d) huscarl + war spear)
with this build you will also be able to use any polearm you want (you will be pretty slow though)
Strength:24
Agility:15
Polearm wpf:146
Weapon Master:5
Athletics:5
Shield:5
Power Strike:8
at lvl 31 you can add 5 ironflesh so you will be a super TANK
there are multiple possible hoplite builds: if you look here
