I came to think it might be fun,  interesting or helpful if some of us,  myself including,  would log their workouts.

As I see it,  especially in a gaming community there might be people interested in sports,  without getting their asses up to do them.  So this could help motivate.  Maybe even be a loose guide for anyone interested.
Before I start doing this though,  I want to see if people would be interested.  Dont want to make an ass out of myself for nothing ^^

What you would read about:
It consists of a well weighed dose of swimming,  running,  strength work and sprint specific training,  and is partly inspired by myself,  some parts however are fitted to a buddy decathlete I help through the depressingly hard winter workouts.
In spring it will slowly shift toward more sprint specific stuff,  or strength,  depending on if I want to do competitive T&F again or just stay fit for skiing, surfing and biking.

Basically a sort of cross training/ fitness training,  not too heavy on the endurance part,  maybe a bit emphasis on strength and conditioning.

I would probably also post training goals, test results,  maybe describe exercises with pics n shit.

I only do weights at the gym and ofc treadmill/crosstrainer for warm up. Hate swimming with a passion for some reason though :l

so I guess I´ll start mine this weekend.  what kinda training do you do Aku?

berenger:  I feel you,  I hated it with a passion as well.  at some point i implemented it on active regeneration days in between track sessions,  and i fell in love with it.

the almost spiritual experience of concentrating on breathing whilst being surrounded by blue,  floating in another element,  playfully....  being able to do a cardially destructive workout but feeling pumped and energized afterwards,  and being sure it actually built muscles in contrarry to jogging :D

I did something similar in another community a while back, but it was just about pushups. When I started I was only able to do about 20 maybe a bit more and at the end I was able to do more than 80 pushups in a row. I guess that's not much for someone who does sport regulary, but I was pretty happy with the result at that time.
I think I should start making pushups again, I only did jogging for the past few months, I'm not sure if I'm still able to do even more than 40 pushups now...

edit: okay, 47 "cheap" pushups, I guess that's not even 40 real pushups...

thats the spirit,  very good! It takes quite some descipline and dedication to pull through,  how about you join the idea of logging it here,  that will help for sure : )  I am doing max pushups two times a week in context with another workout,  I will post my numbers in your thread so we can motivate eachother,  what do you say? : )  am semi well trained atm,  but cant imagine doing 80 : )

I was pretty surprised that I didn't die after 20 pushups when I did them a few moments ago. :D They were the first pushups for months and the time when I was able to do more than 50 is long gone...
I still train my arms though. I mostly do these:

with 10 kg weights. (which is quite much actually)

I would really like to see what kind of workouts you do and perhaps I will join in. :)

yeah do it, I go to gym regularly but I dont have a training buddy. Also I dont like swimming because there are simply too many idiots in the swimming pool. I used to run a lot for a couple of years but that became boring. I'm thinking of starting again next spring.

The main reason why I do sports is because I love eating and dont want to grow fat  :D
also my gf kicks my ass if I get lazy
