My character belongs to someone else

After logging onto the site and selecting my character Wernicke I started the launcher and picked a server to play on, using the username Wernicke. Every server kicked me, claiming that the character belonged to someone else. I tried making a new character, Teutonir, but after about ten minutes of gameplay Wernicke was still the only character in my list on the website. Am I somehow linked to a different account, even after logging in on the website? I don't use steam so I doubt it would be much related to this issue.

Help would be much appreciated, and if it is indeed deemed as a bug I will transfer this topic to MantisBT.

Characters are tied to cd-keys. Sounds like you tried to play using a different cd-key.

I see. So if I were to delete Wernicke now and make a new character with the same name, would it be tied to my current CD key?

Or is there a way to transfer my character to my current CD-key?

Why are you using a new cd-key, even? Best would be to go back to your previous cd-key.

I don't remember my previous CD-key, and I don't know a proper way to find it. I had a cracked version of M&B so I could see what it was, and when I wanted to play multiplayer I searched for MP cracks and when I tired of that my friend gave me his valid serial key. After playing for a month or two I decided to give Taleworlds the money they deserved. It's only 9.99 anyway.

I did crack the game, I admit it was bad of me. Have I not redeemed myself through paying for it and donating to TaleWorlds on several occasions? Anyway, let's not start hounding each other now. I'd like to know if there is a way to transfer my old character to a different account or serial key.
