Hullo,
I figured I'd make a thread here, although my purpose is to discover the reason rather than effect an undoing. The situation preceding to the ban is as follows:
I was playing Defend the Virgin on the HRE EU server. I came equipped with armour and weaponry, so I am fairly sure that is nothing to do with it. During my gameplay, I found that a specific person was always idling at the spawn in the exact same place he spawned, to the point of very clearly (to me) being a leecher.
A number of people said to use QML, which I take to be Quick, Menu, Nominate leecher. Such an attempt failed (no name to put in), so I thought maybe when spectating that would change. In any case, I didn't immediately try again.
A while later I died and, navigating my camera to be following the person I suspected of leeching, I initiated the QML again, only to be met with an error report. A few seconds later, I received the message that I was permanently banned by a specific administrator. I don't see real need to name the people involved.
I haven't kicked someone, nor did I attack someone on my team repeatedly. I didn't effect teamkills, and I didn't sling abusive language over the chat system. There was no warning given, and from the circumstances I can only surmise that using the QML function is somehow a grave offence that merits an immediate, no warning permanent ban.
Of course, it may be that I did something wrong somehow in my ignorance, so I really would like to know what the reason was for my ban: I assume the offence was grave enough to issue the ban without prior warning, considering up to this point I had never even had any situation with an administrator before.
Thank you in advance for any explanation provided.
