You have won the battle against Numerius [124]
125 of 140 survived the battle.
Your soldiers killed 100 of their 100 men.

Item Result:
14 Tattered Steppe Armor looted *1
11 Battered Hide Covered Round Shield lost
29 Steppe Armor lost *2
12 Cracked Arabian Straight Sword lost *3
12 Damaged Lance lost *3
4 Practice Longsword looted
1 Axe looted
2 Light Spiked Club looted
4 Scythe looted
1 Blue Practice Shield looted
1 Red Practice Shield looted

*1 I was the one with steppe armor on my army, the defender only had the free peasant gear.

*2 so i lost only 15 troops, but somehow lost 25 armor? did people equip more then one steppe armor becouse it was cold or something?

*3 24 weapons lost, but nobody took more then one weapon in general.

Am I missing something here becouse I am confused about this list.
It does not seem to make any sence.
How can I loot a minus 2 version of my own armor even tho the enemy did not had steppe.

You actually lost 15 Armors, 14 were degraded by 2. I think thats the stuff that is worn by the alive mercs when the battle ends.
The logic of war seems to be that if a belligerent can fight he will fight.

What you have on you when you win you get back normally. (some exceptions like a damaged horse will count as dead)
Winner gets 50% of all thats used by both sides -2 loom levels
Loser gets 25% of all thats used by both sides -2 loom levels (when raided, if you lose a normal battle, you lose all equipment)
Winner gets all goods of himself and enemy.
All remaining troops of the loser desert after flags are capped, winner won't get them anymore (unlike last strategus where you got all remaining troops)
Both sides keep all gold they have.

I forgot something/ made a mistake here?

thanks for the awnsers guys, its helpfull.

I dont know if i like this minus and plus loomed gear each time you win or loose a battle.
It makes a mess of your gear for no real reason.
Just becouse i wear a armor for one battle, doesnt make it nearly fall appart now does it?
Should be better if the loom lvl just stay the same, and if we are afraid its unbalanced just lower the amount you loot.

Much more clear then, and less messy.
Still dont get why so many weapons where used, but whatever.

Thanks Haboe, some good info there!

A bit strange that gold cannot be lost, but some players will be happy to find they have cash to buy themselves goods just after having been destroyed by a marauding army.

And the 25% items looted for losers is enough to keep a bit of their past military power, sounds good.

Retreat mechanic should be linked to a time factor or some other things, so that you can still retreat with your men (or part of your men), but not insta retreat like a motherfucker or force the enemy to spawn kill the entire enemy to win.

Otherwise, really happy of how the looting system work.
