NA siege corpse hit??? Flag bug???

errr where is it and why isn't it implemented yet? its on NA battle but not siege

Also when is the flag bug going to be fixed? You know the one where the flag is near the bottom(or at bottom) and both teams are still fighting over it. Then as soon as the defenders kill the last attacker it grants the attackers the victory. Obviously the defenders win but get screwed.

Well, afaik the whole problem is that the NA box is using linux which means the warband dedicated servers on it are running in wine (windows emulation).
A while back the updated dedicateded serverfiles were tested but switched back after one or three days due to instability (box lacking hardware wise probably due to extra load from wine and maybe incompatibility issues but not sure)

Since WSE2 only works with those updated files you are not only missing the improved stability (see strat battles) and performance but also the WSE2 features.
This is why you guys still got pole-stagger and no corpse damage absorption.

Now you got the reasons, that's all info I got though and it's probably not 100% accurate.
Found a hosting company and offer stuff for prices that are not completely ridiculous?

Hard to tell, if that move to the datecenter in Dellas, TX is still up for discussion that might do the trick and seems affordable, will still need some testing.
Then again it would probably screw over a big part of the NA playerbase ping wise.

No idea what the plan is or the options are, overall I just wanted to make sure you guys know what the prob is and that we did not stop caring about NA.


Problem is most likely not the linux server but the hardware not being able to handle running the dedicated servers in wine since that is an extra performance hit.
Also requesting stuff won't work, you just gotta wait and see what happens.
Just to make sure cause the "whole problem" part might have come out wrong in my explanation, the prob is not that the box is running linux! but that the hardware is not capable of running the new server software in wine due to hardware limitations.

Might be the same issue under windows, can't judge don't know the hardware specs.

P.S.: I do not think that experimental files will be given out to any clanserver for now.
Also not my thing to decide though.

The delayed cap bug means the attackers already won, all it means is that you get more experience ticks in the current round.

No, I would expect actual documentation and proactive communication with community, not superstition, misinformation and majority of community having no clue whats going on and why.  Any wonder why game cant attract/keep new players?  Any wonder why there are post after post about the same topics, same questions, same problems?

Do you need evidence? Go count the # of posts bout this topic (probably over 10), which could have been answered immediately or even documented when Battle was updated and as to why siege wasnt at the same time.

Results of the Dallas location ping thread seemed to me that most of US players would stay in a decent range (some going up, some going down but most all still in a playable ping range).  The playerbase that seemed to be most affected negatively was some Canada players, not all, but some for sure.

And, I have to agree with Digglez that in general, official statements by devs when possible in public places are good for the community and raises playerbase morale overall.
